Brzotín rock
On the north-western slope of Silická plateau, above the village Brzotín and Brzotín Ponds, at the height of 598 m above sea level, there is the Brzotín Rock. Geomorphologically, it belongs to the area of Slovak Ore Mountains and its mountain unit Slovenský kras (sub-unit - Silická planina).
The rock face of the rock plateau drops abruptly into the the canyon of the Salt River (the end of it) and Rožňava Basin.
Since 2017 it has been made accessible to tourists by the Slovak Tourist Club Rožňava, which has installed new signposts with the approval of the Slovak Karst National Park Administration.
Brzotínska rock offers a unique view of the surroundings, especially the Rožňava Basin.
How to get to Brzotín Rocks
Good starting points to the lookout rock are the villages of Jovice, Plešivec , Silica and the resort of Gombasek.
