This road was built by Italian soldiers in 1912. Three signposts point to the waterfalls on this asphalt road. The length of the H\u00e1j valley and the karst gorge is approximately 6.5 km. Rare plant and animal species occur here. The diversity and abundance of flora is due to the inversion of vegetation zones. The valley separates the two easternmost plateaus of the Slovak Karst, namely the Z\u00e1diel plateau and the Jasov plateau.<\/p><p><strong>H\u00e1jsky brook<\/strong>, which flows through the valley, creates due to the height differences of up to 300 meters in the travertine dams at the end of the gorge, in the area from <strong>Devil's Bridge, <\/strong>a system of rapids, cascades and 10 waterfalls of different sizes.<\/p><p><strong>How to get to the H\u00e1j waterfalls<\/strong><\/p><p>The village of H\u00e1j can be reached by a branch from the village of Tur\u0148a nad Bodvou, which is located at <b>I. class road 16 (I\/16)<\/b> leading on the route Zvolen - Lu\u010denec - Ro\u017e\u0148ava - Ko\u0161ice.<\/p><p>Directly from the village you continue along\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-10332 size-full lazy-loaded\" src=\"http:\/\/www.slovensky-kras.eu\/info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/zlta.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"20\" height=\"21\" data-lazy-type=\"image\" data-src=\"http:\/\/www.slovensky-kras.eu\/info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/zlta.png\" \/> the yellow hiking trail in the direction of Ha\u010dava to the first signpost <strong>(H\u00e1jske waterfalls 360 m above sea level)<\/strong> about 15 to 20 min.<\/p><p>The second signpost (not touristic) is located about 5-7 minutes from the first signpost on the yellow trail in the direction of Ha\u010dava (here is <strong>The Great H\u00e1j Waterfall <\/strong>a <strong>Middle H\u00e1j waterfall<\/strong>).<br \/>The third signpost (not a tourist signpost) is located about 30 m from the second signpost; a narrow path will take you under the bridge, where there is a <strong>Upper H\u00e1j waterfall<\/strong>.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2a7df27 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"2a7df27\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Maps\n<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9ccee8d elementor-widget elementor-widget-google_maps\" data-id=\"9ccee8d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"google_maps.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-custom-embed\">\n\t\t\t<iframe loading=\"lazy\"\n\t\t\t\t\tsrc=\"https:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?q=H%C3%A1j%20waterfalls&#038;t=m&#038;z=15&#038;output=embed&#038;iwloc=near\"\n\t\t\t\t\ttitle=\"Grove waterfalls\"\n\t\t\t\t\taria-label=\"Grove waterfalls\"\n\t\t\t><\/iframe>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>H\u00e1jske vodop\u00e1dy naz\u00fdvan\u00e9 aj Vodop\u00e1dy Hlbok\u00fd jarok sa nach\u00e1dzaj\u00fa v H\u00e1jskej doline (krasovej ties\u0148ave) ne\u010faleko cesty sp\u00e1jaj\u00facej obce H\u00e1j a Ha\u010dava.
